What People are Saying

“Parker provides a wealth of information about the components of coercive control. Encouraging self-compassion, she guides readers to recognize the dynamics of abuse, examine its hold on them and move along the path toward healing. It’s a must-read for survivors as well as those who work with them.” Joanna V. Hunter, author of But He’ll Change

“You have designed a book that presents recurrent opportunities and permission for the reader to view/know themselves in their situation . . . I think readers will experience the respect you feel for them because it is so obvious that you have been listening.” Ruth Ann Berkholtz, clinical social worker
