Individual Counseling

It generally is apparent after only one session or so whether you feel comfortable with my style and can develop a trusting relationship. This is very important so trust your instincts. No one therapist is right for everyone.

The first 3-4 sessions are devoted to:

  • beginning a therapeutic relationship,
  • identifying your strengths,
  • identifying the issues you want to work on,
  • hearing about any history which contributes to your strengths and weaknesses,
  • and formulating your goals

I tailor the therapeutic approaches to what is best for each individual I see, and invite conversations about what feels best to you.
